All about... Container House Kenya

Extra-cool and off-grid container house hanging off a cliff, with resident leopards, in an easy (and near totally tarmac) drive from Nairobi. Come stay at my home and enjoy hanging out with the dogs, picking and eating vegetables from the garden and feeding and even milking the goats (subject to seasonality)! The house is a perfect off-grid escape for those looking for a place to enjoy the view, drink a cold one, listen to music and have fun with friends!

The space:

The container house is a large open space which has a fully stocked kitchen, a big lounge area, a stunning deck and view and then two bedrooms to the side. The area has a large garden area, a vegetable patch, a small farm with animals and beautiful rocks for sundowners. These things should be an added bonus and not to be relied on since Mother Nature cannot promise when and what will be available. The house now has 24/7 power in the form of solar! This makes the house the perfect escape for those looking to relax, read, enjoy friends or explore from area in comfort. That means water, power, WiFi and other amenities are available all the time. I suggest you bring water if you are not comfortable drinking tap water (I drink it however). This house really suits those who love nature, love having fun and love being in the middle of nowhere. The house has all the wonderful things that come with being out in the bush - monkeys, mice, dust and heat.... I think of them as friends however if you fear them the house might not be for you! The house is also home (they come in and out of the house) of my dogs who are kind and friendly. Again, if you don't like dogs, this house might not be for you.

Guest access: You can use all the space, as well as explore the gardens, veggie patch, farmyard and sundowner rocks.

Other things to note: Fresh goat's milk daily for drinking or making cheese is at a cost of 500ksh per day. Picking the vegetables from the veggie patch is at a cost of 300ksh per day. It helps me to keep the garden fully stocked for the next guests! You will need to do these activities with a member of staff in order to know what to do/pick. The house is 5.4km from Kimuka Trading Centre.

Check in is from 3pm and check out is before 11am.
